for ivy...and my bad weekend!

ivy, i thought you would appreciate this...

in other news... i am on a DIET!!!! yeah i went to see miss cindy (copper's next door neighbor vet) on saturday in augusta. my mom had been thinking that i looked "chunky" lately and my dad said he thought i looked fine. well mom is RIGHT miss cindy said i need to lose 2 pounds!! well when you only weight 11.5 pounds thats A LOT!! so i am on this new food...
its prescription doggie food for overweight management!!!! i can't believe i am overweight!

and oh, i had a HORRIBLE experience at the vet! they took me away from my mom (cause i am super protective of my mom, cause she's pregnant and all, and miss cindy knew it would be best to do all the shots, etc without mom there) well i did some embarrassingly stinky stuff (use your imagination) and they had to use a muzzle on me! don't worry miss cindy is the best vet ever and she knew that a loose muzzle would make me kinda calm down, cause i wanted to nip and bite them! i'm such a bad boy aren't i?! and on top of everything nixon was PERFECT at the vet!! we go at the same time for our yearly stuff, just easier that way i guess. well he is the perfect weight AND he didn't whine or complain the ENTIRE time!!! he's such a goodie goodie! he makes me sick! so needless to say I embarrased mom and nixon made her proud...whatever...

oh AND i didn't get anything at the baby shower! apparently babies need stuffed animals too!

They put you on a diet right before Valentine's Day ... now that's really rotten! There could have been awesome leftovers from your parent's romantic dinner. Sigh. I hate diets. I feel for ya, buddy!

Hi Hershey,

Awww man, that suxs big time - going on a diet. How are you liking your new food?

Oh, no, a diet? Roxie is afraid that is in store for her. Her harness is too tight and Mom says it is because she has gained weight. Sammy is always on a diet because he wants to eat everything. It's the problem we have to endure for being dachsies.

Hey Hershey,

If you get too hungry, you're mom can put some raw oatmeal in your food--just the regular kind sprinkled right on top. That'll help fill you up since it grows in your tummy but doesn't add many calories--for as little a guy as you, maybe a tablespoon or so would do.

When our people cut back on our food (which they've been talking about doing since we've all got a little extra winter padding--I could of course say the same about at least one of them), they give us stuff like carrots and frozen green beans to chew on and that makes us feel like we're getting more to eat, but it's not many calories.

Cats are always suck-ups. You should just slobber on his tail.

See ya

If your people roll up little balls of the canned food and bake them at 350 degrees until they're dry (10 min)they make great low-cal dog treats. My claire works at a vet and she helps curvy doggies with that food all the time!
